Sooner announces Gayle Jones as newest sponsored rider
New custom trailer highlights partnership
El Reno, Okla./May 17, 2009 – Sooner Trailers is proud to announce champion barrel racer Gayle Jones as their newest Sooner sponsored rider. The unveiling of Gayle’s new four horse Sooner Legacy living quarters trailer took place at Sooner’s headquarters in El Reno, Okla.
“I feel extremely fortunate,” Jones said. “I chose to work with Sooner because of their amazing safety features and well-built construction. I custom-designed this trailer with the sales and engineering staff at Sooner to be both functional and safe, and the trailer turned out even better than I imagined! Sooner built the trailer exactly how I wanted it, and there are tons of bonus features like a hydraulic saddle rack that Sooner surprised me with! I’m ecstatic and I can’t wait to take this trailer out on the road!”
The trailer is a custom, four horse Sooner Legacy model with a 12’ shortwall living quarters. It also features custom-picked items such a hydraulic saddle rack, split ramps on the rear, lowered mangers for long hauls, lowered drop down feed windows, polished slat, aluminum wheels and 10’ haypod with recessed ladder. The interior contains a privacy bunk, 6’ glide room and a custom-designed interior with a layout that emphasizes storage capability as well as comfort.
Gayle Jones is a life-long horse enthusiast who competes in barrel racing events across the country. Among her career highlights is a first place finish in the 2007 World Barrel Racing Production Finals. KC Jones, Gayle’s husband, competes in bull-dogging events and is also a Sooner sponsored rider.
